Windows Live Skydrive: Now Served with 25% of Gmail’s Storage

On a day when Gmail announced it would soon be increasing its storage capacity to over 4GB, Microsoft’s Live Skydrive’s announcement that it would be upping its own limits to 1GB seems pretty trivial. Nonetheless, Microsoft’s online data storage offering doubled its capacity, and added a few new features to go with it. Public folders now include RSS feeds so you can be notified when friends add files, and you can also now add someone to your Hotmail address book from within the Skydrive interface.

Nice timing, Mr. Softy.
